The Studio
A landscape practice
shaped by curiosity,
context and purpose.
Designstreet
Landscapes designed as places to enter, experience and remember.
Designstreet approaches every project as an opportunity to bring landscape, architecture and human experience into a more meaningful relationship.
The studio works across private, commercial and public settings, developing landscapes that respond to the character of the site, support the surrounding architecture and become richer through use and time.
Robert Moore
Curiosity before style.
Robert has always been drawn to landscape design, architecture and the potential of outdoor space to shape how people feel.
He studied at University College Dublin and Bordeaux University, before travelling internationally and returning to Ireland in 1998.
Those experiences continue to inform a practice that looks beyond appearance alone. Robert’s work is concerned with how a place is entered, understood, moved through and experienced over time.
His ambition is to create beautiful, interactive and thought-provoking spaces: landscapes that invite exploration and create connections beyond the purely physical.
A developing perspective
A practice informed by study, travel and lived experience.
The studio’s design language is not based on a fixed visual formula. It has developed through observation, cultural experience and a continuing interest in how people relate to place.

Designstreet today
The practice now brings that perspective to private gardens, development projects, planning-led work and public-facing landscapes.
The studio philosophy
Landscapes designed
with purpose.
Context
Every design begins with the site: its architecture, topography, movement, views, planting and wider setting.
Experience
A landscape should be more than something to look at. It should invite movement, pause, discovery and connection.
Meaning
Materials, planting and spatial decisions can carry ideas, evoke memory and communicate something beyond their practical function.
Longevity
Landscapes are living places. They should be conceived to mature, adapt and gain character over time.
Bord Bia Bloom
Gardens that carry a message.
Robert has returned to Bord Bia Bloom on multiple occasions, designing show gardens that use landscape to communicate social, emotional and public-health themes.
People’s Choice Award
Dementia: Understand Together
A socially engaged show garden recognised by the Bloom public for the clarity and emotional resonance of its message.
Gold Medal
Catching Cancer Early
Designed for the Marie Keating Foundation, the garden explored the cancer journey through a charred timber boardwalk, reflective water bowls, seasonal planting and large sheltering trees.
The concept was informed in part by Robert’s own experience of losing his mother to lung cancer. After Bloom, the garden was donated to Recovery Haven in Tralee, allowing it to continue its life as a place of reflection and support.
People’s Choice Award
Tusla Fostering Garden
An ode to foster children and the families who care for them, designed around love, safety, play, hope and optimism.
The garden incorporated a floating hammock, a glass dome shelter and a brass sculpture created from casts of foster children’s hands. After Bloom, plants from the garden were distributed to foster families around Ireland.
The practice
Working across private, commercial and public landscapes.
Designstreet works collaboratively with clients, architects, developers, consultants and public bodies, adapting the level of service to the needs of each project.
Landscape Architecture
Strategic and detailed landscape design developed in response to architecture, setting and long-term use.
Garden Design
Bespoke residential landscapes shaped around the property, its setting and the way each client wishes to live.
Planning & Visual Impact
Landscape proposals, planning support and visual assessment for development projects and sensitive sites.
The ambition
To create landscapes that feel inevitable to their setting, yet distinctive in their experience.
Beautiful spaces, carefully resolved and designed to establish connections that extend beyond the physical landscape.
